Regional Data

Workforce Development Area 7 covers ten Northwest Wisconsin counties, inclunding Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, and Washburn, and has some very unique needs and resources not found in other parts of the state. Therefore, it is important to collect and analyze data specific to this region to gain a true understanding of the workforce issues currently impacting this area.

 

State Data

The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development's (DWD) Office of Economic Advisors has created various dashboards providing quarterly calculations of both the individuals served in DWD-run programs and the local employers who play an instrumental role in developing Wisconsin's workforce.

 

Federal Data

The U.S. Department of Labor has a wealth of workforce information that is easy to access and freely available. This includes data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Career One Stop Business Center, U.S. Census Data, and Occupational Outook Handbook.
