Creative Kids Learning Center in Spooner is experiencing positive growth thanks to the collaborative support of the Quality Jobs, Equity, Strategy, and Training (QUEST) program and the Pathways to Early Childhood cohort. Johanna Shelton, owner and director, shares how QUEST’s training period has been invaluable: it allows employees to gain on-the-job training and work experience without immediate financial burden on the center. Currently, four employees are enrolled in the Pathways to Early Childhood cohort, dedicating their free time at the center to advancing their education.
Johanna also expresses deep appreciation for the responsive and supportive team behind the program. “I would like to give a huge shout out to Jo Nowak-Thompson, Ryce Davis, and Missy at Manpower for being an amazing team. I received quick responses and answers to all my questions and their communication is outstanding!”
This partnership is empowering both employees and the center, fostering professional development while ensuring quality care and education for children in the community.
