Construction foundations


This 10-week course, beginning November 27th, 2017-February 8th, 2018, provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for job success in the construction industry. The course will run 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Monday-Thursday) with classes shortened during the weeks of the Christmas and New Years holidays. Instruction will be done by Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. All training will take place at the Ashland Area Enterprise Center. Participants who complete the training will earn a Technical Certificate. Training is free to interested job seekers and available at a low cost to employers who wish to send their employees. All participants must meet certain eligibility requirements.

Participants will learn:
• Building Design
• Energy Efficiency Concepts
• Layout Operation & Print Reading
• Estimating & Materials of Industry
• OSHA Safety & CPR/AED/Basic First Aid
